We have developed a object oriented framework with php which can be used to normalize and import data from various sources. It has been checked with files over 2GB and 10.000 single files. We using it with PHP CLI
If we are working together with travel provider which offer hotel items we require access to a description of their hotels. The description formats differs often so we need to normalize the delivered content to our structure. We have already prepared hotel items, images, and description.
Mission:
Each hotel is classified with different parameter e.g.
- board type, facility information, swimming pool, fitness room ….
The provider delivers such information very different – different parameter
We should extend the framework and normalize these parameter to OTA Standard (there is a list with such parameter which we point the parameter to)
Procedure
a) Analyse the framework
b) Analyse the data of the distributors
c) Check if OTA is suitable for the normalization or matching
d) Take Parameter from each distributor and match it to OTA
e) Implement the code ( the most distributors have been implemented so you just need to add some code)
f) Create Database and Import into DB
